AI phone answering for your business
AllDayDesk is a home services answering service that answers your business phone around the clock using the business details you save. It can take messages, answer common questions, and book in-home appointments on your calendar. For emergencies, it does not dispatch crews, give safety or repair instructions, or promise a response time. When a caller describes an urgent situation, AllDayDesk takes a detailed message for you and, if you have configured a transfer destination and rules, can transfer the call to you. You decide which situations count as emergencies and how you want to be reached. Setup is simple: choose your business or enter its website, check the details it found, hear a personalized sample call, then forward your existing number to AllDayDesk using the instructions for your phone service. You keep your same public phone number.

How it works
Choose your business or enter its website. Check the services, hours, and details callers need.
Listen to a sample for your business and check its answers. The sample does not create a real booking.
Follow the steps for your phone service. Set up booking availability and any call transfers you want to use.
Review calls, messages, and bookings in your dashboard.
Home services calls come in while you are under a sink, on a ladder, or driving between jobs. Most owners answer their own phone, which means missed calls during work. AllDayDesk answers around the clock using the information you save about your business, so callers reach a helpful voice instead of voicemail whenever you cannot pick up.
The receptionist answers common questions from your saved business details, takes messages with the caller's name, number, and reason for calling, and can book in-home appointments. Every call, transcript, summary, and booking shows up in your dashboard, so you can review everything when you finish the job.
In-home work lives and dies on the schedule. When a caller wants a repair, estimate, or cleaning visit, AllDayDesk can book the appointment during the call using the built-in AllDayDesk dashboard calendar. This works once you have configured your services and availability, so the receptionist only offers times you can actually work.
If you already run your schedule in Google Calendar, you can optionally connect it in Settings after connecting and authorizing your Google account. AllDayDesk supports the Google Calendar connection; other calendar or scheduling software is not part of the setup.
Changes to existing appointments are different from new bookings. If a caller wants to move or cancel a visit, AllDayDesk passes that request to you as a message. You confirm the change yourself, so your schedule never shifts without your approval.
Emergency calls are the hardest part of home services phone coverage, and it helps to be clear about what an answering service does and does not do. AllDayDesk is not an emergency dispatch service. It does not send crews, contact on-call technicians, or guarantee that anyone responds within any timeframe.
It also does not give safety advice or repair instructions. A caller with a burst pipe, a gas smell, sparking wires, or a carbon monoxide concern should be directed to call 911 or their utility when life or property is at immediate risk. AllDayDesk does not perform medical or life-safety triage and will not diagnose a situation over the phone.
What AllDayDesk does is capture the details. It takes a clear message with the caller's name, callback number, address, and description of the problem, and it appears in your dashboard right away. If you have configured a transfer destination and rules, it can transfer the call to you or another number you choose. Note that a transfer requires you to set it up in advance, and neither pickup nor an immediate response is guaranteed. When the answer, price, or appointment is unknown, the receptionist takes a message rather than guessing.
Setup starts by choosing your business or entering its website. AllDayDesk checks the details it finds, and you confirm they are right. You then hear a personalized sample of how your receptionist will sound. The sample is a demonstration only; it does not create a real booking.
Next you choose your phone setup. You keep your public number and forward calls to AllDayDesk. The exact steps depend on your phone service, so follow the instructions for your carrier. For example, Verizon mobile uses *72 plus the destination for all-call forwarding and *71 for unanswered calls, while Verizon business landline uses *72 and *73 to turn forwarding off. Other carriers differ, so check your provider's guide before entering codes.
Once calls are flowing, review transcripts, summaries, messages, and bookings in your dashboard and adjust your saved business details as needed.

AllDayDesk is an AI receptionist, not a human one, and not a full office employee. It answers calls, takes messages, answers questions from your saved details, books appointments, and transfers calls you configure. It does not replace the hands-on work of running jobs, and it does not connect to dispatch software, CRM systems, health records, or industry scheduling tools.
Around-the-clock availability means the service is available to answer, not that every call connects or that you will always respond immediately. Google Voice users should know that forwarding a Google Voice number to an automated system is unsupported by Google, so a forwarded cell or landline number is the reliable path.

Each plan includes call minutes. Extra minutes cost more. See your estimate before you start. Your first 30 calls are free, with no credit card. Paid plans are monthly; cancel anytime.
The receptionist identifies itself as an AI assistant when asked and never pretends to be a person. It answers using your saved business details, so callers get accurate information about your services and hours.
It can share prices only if you save them in your business details. If a price is unknown, it takes a message so you can quote the job yourself.
AllDayDesk does not give safety instructions or perform triage. Callers facing immediate danger should call 911 or their utility. AllDayDesk captures the details as a message and can transfer the call if you have configured a transfer destination and rules.
New appointments go on the built-in AllDayDesk dashboard calendar by default. An optional Google Calendar connection is supported in Settings after you connect and authorize your account. Other calendar or scheduling software is not supported.
No. You keep your public number and forward calls to AllDayDesk. The forwarding steps depend on your phone service, so follow your carrier's instructions.
Yes, if you configure a transfer destination and rules in advance. Keep in mind that neither pickup nor an immediate response is guaranteed, and unanswered transfers are not covered by an automatic backup message feature.
Enter your business name or website, check the details, and listen to a personalized sample call. If it sounds right for your customers, forward your number and let AllDayDesk start covering the phone while you work.
